I'm a junior in HS, trying to figure out where to go to college at. I'm looking to be in computer engineering/science or some type of physics, do you like it their? Are the programs in the engineering areas really as good as everyone says? I'm in crawfordsville (home of wabash) like 45 minutes away so it would be convenient for me and a lot cheaper than a private school, but does it stack up? Also on a side note, anyone ever thought of organizing a purdue/ west lafayette area lan party/swap meet?

The academic programs here are exactly what they are cracked up to be. Great school and I must add that I have had some great professors.

As for a Lan Party/Swap Meet: students then to have LAN Parties every once in a while, but they usually only play one certain game so I have never gone. I wouldnt mind hooking up with some AT people, but it seems like there arent too many around the area.
 
well I've seen a lot of posts with people mentioning purude, and I never really thought about having that many people from AT there, but I thought I'd give it a shot.
 
got my MSEE from purdue. very good EE department, very well regarded in the industry. its got some very good faculty in the EE and CS departments.
