Who actually plays through multiple seasons in a baseball game?

I was just reading a review of Inside Pitch for the XBOX, and it seems to be a craptacular game. BIG letdown. Anyways, one of the main gripes harped on throughout the article is the lack of a franchise mode. To them, this automatically disqualifies the game in the first instance from any praise at all.

Now, I may be wrong, but who (besides the hardcore) plays all the way through a season in baseball, let alone 2 or more? That's 162 games, of which last about an hour apiece, THEN you may make it into the playoffs. By the time you get done with a season, next year's game will be out.

Are there any of you out there who actually has the patience and time to complete a 162 game season on a baseball game?

I've completed multiple 82 game seasons plus Stanley Cup Playoffs in NHL 2003, so I could see it happening.

i have, its cool to play a game once in awhile, doesnt take that long, see how your team can compete vs the rest of the league, mvp voting and other stuff..
