Who actually bought a Matrox Parnhelia?

Would like to know how you like it and if you think it's worth the money.

I've seen about 4 or 5 people in the Video forum mention owning a Parhelia... all of them have given extremely positive comments on it so I think the present owners are quite pleased thus far.
I recall a few people in General Hardware saying they had pre-ordered a Parhelia... I don't know if any of them have posted regarding it though.

I'd like to buy one... but $350 for the OEM is just a bit more then I can justify.
I dearly wish it would drop to around $270-300.

I'm also somewhat interested in the R9700, as it has a number of appealing features... but it lacks in a number of respects in 2D graphics design capabilities. Plus ATi isnt getting a damn bit of support from the graphics industry for their 10bit RGB, whereas many prominent companies have announced support for Matrox's implementation in future application updates/patches.
Rather unfortunate, as the R9700's performance is extremely impressive... if vast over-kill for my needs, and full DX9 support.

Please expand upon this point for those of us who might be considering the R9700...

Matrox is known for its 2d quality, and 2d programmers and those who use alot of 2d graphics would perfer a Matrox over an ATi.
