Whitman's Chocolates - I'm tired of sampling them, I want the real thing.

I guess most people by now have had the opportunity to enjoy a Whitman's Sampler - one of those boxes of various flavors of filled chocolates. I don't want to sample the various flavors anymore. After many years and even many more boxes of samples, I've decided which ones I like, and I want to buy boxes of only those flavors. I'm tired of getting stuck with all those crappy flavors, like coconut.

I demand the right to buy a box of only one type of chocolate.

maybe you start an online company that repackages them from the sampler box to single type boxes
charge a premium

Those things *are* good though. Plus, if it weren't for the bad pieces, the good pieces would be as good.

You can order custom boxes from See's Candies. They are the best I've ever had. Better than Godiva. I different universe than Whitman's.

I think they usually run $14-17/lb.

Link - I recommend #8, 17, and 26.

I think they are based here in Kansas City. And I'm pretty sure they have a store next to the university. what kind are you looking for?

edit: n/m it's a russel stover store (same company, but i think different chocolates).

Or the people who "squish" the chocolate to see what's inside, and then put back the ones they don't want. Can't they read the freakin' map on the box lid???

Or when they switch chocolates around so they are in the wrong spaces. Now the map is wrong and you don't know what you're getting. :|

my sister knows the daughter of someone who works at see's candy...i dont know if its just during xmas but the employees were allowed to buy a few boxes of the candies that dont make the cut that come out the machine because there are oddly shaped or whatever....

well one year they sold my sister a box...it was a lot of candy and it was delicious..we ate candy the whole month of dec.
