I'm guessing you feel the same way about Bin Laden.
Yeah, that's a rational argument.

Bin Laden posed a continuing and active threat. Bulger was 80+ years old and not really a threat to anyone.
Not saying he didn't deserve to be caught, but there isn't much of a comparison between him and Bin Laden. I'd rather them use our tax dollars to go after guys like this than locking up potheads.
Oh I'm sorry, you're right. I forgot that victim's families' emotions were the reason we catch bad guys
Yeah, that's a rational argument.
"Whitey Bulger is a serial killer, cocaine dealer, bank robber, pedophile, very smart criminal," says Carr.
how the hell did he get back into the country being a MOST WANTED fugitive...
A year ago, the FBI thought he was living on Vancouver Island in BC. They issued all sorts of press releases and bulletins to be on the lookout for him in the area.
It will be interesting to see if they learn his travels over the last 15 years to see if they were every close to picking him up before this. Just like it was interesting to learn that Osama was living in that house in Pakistan for more than 5 years while everyone thought he was in a cave.
I think he said that because he was last spotted in London in 2002. Which raises the next question...how the hell did he get back into the country being a MOST WANTED fugitive...
I'm not so sure the FBI wanted to apprehend him. At this point, anything he says about his involvement in corrupting the Boston FBI office is going to be hard to disprove. He can run an tremendous smear campaign against the FBI and, even if he doesn't, his arrest certainly brings one of the worst scandals in the organization's history to light.
89 is much longer than most people live. For a gangster thats amazing.
