I would have liked to see Chris Perry get it...he basically carried the Michigan team on his back through most of the season.

Exactly...Palmer kind of deserved it last year and end up with the award because the competing field wasn't as good as it was this year.

White's performance was not distinguishable from the performances turned in by Rivers, Dinwiddie, Leinart. As I stated before in another thread, Rivers performance stands out in my mind because he did with such an average team. The dude took over his games every game...he put up points on every defense he faces (FSU and OSU among those) with a very lack luster offensive line and decent receivers.

Whites receivers were so wide open all season and his pass pretection was so good...any of the above named QB's could've done the same or better (I think River's rating would've been over 200 this season were he OU's QB) and basically did do the same with lesser teams.

Look at where a lot of White's good stat games came from: Fresno State, Iowa State, Baylor, Texas A&M, Colorado, Texas Tech??!! Those teams had total lame duck defenses (he had 28 TD and 1 INT in those games). He faired 12 and 7 against the remaining 'okay' defenses.

The games that the opposing defenses didn't totally cower and run, White playing average at best and down right sucked against KSU (the best defense he faced).

Rivers played great against tougher defensive opposition all year.

And let's not even start about Fitzgerald...Rutherford is a horrible quarterback (Very erratic) and look at Rod's numbers. My grandma could've thrown 25 TD's for Pitt with Fitz on the receiving end.
