White text on black bg with an LCD monitor

When I scroll up and down the text either changes colors or looks funny. Is this normal when you have text on a black bg? Or is my monitor defective?

While scrolling, you see the limits of the LCD response time... That's the only time I see 'ghosting' on my monitor, coloured text on a black background. The black bleeds, or ghosts onto the text as you scroll.

Do you happen to have an example/webpage or something that has this? I'd like to see if my LCD exhibits this to my eyes..

Its not really ghosting, its just called blurring I think. Correct though, it is the limitations of the response time on your monitor.
