Why do deer feel the need to throw themselves into the fronts of my vehicles every time I have no deer coverage and cannot afford new parts???
 
The auto parts industry is breeding them in secret underground bunkers and releasing them to raise profits.
 
Send them here and make up for our lost population in the hurricane. Our seasons are closed this year. 🙁 I'd gladly come hunt and eat them all.

Be more observant and drive slower so you can manuver out of the way. I see deer all the time driving in Up North WI but have never hit one.
 
I live in wv (keep jokes to yourselves) and deer are very thick here. I've been driving for 5 years now and have had some very close calls but I've always managed to stop before hitting them. I'm sure one day my time will come to hit one but if you are cautious and pay attention they're easy to avoid.
 
Deer have not learned how to deal with moving cars, trucks, etc yet. But then considering how often people are hit by cars, humans have a good deal to learn about moving cars too.
 
if you dont do your part... stop complaining about them
buy a hunting license pickup a gun and kill 3-4 every year

i thought all wild animal hits like that were no-fault no matter where you lived.

right, but its not a no-fault accident if you swerve to miss the deer and swipe a guard rail. you end up with less damage to your car than hitting the deer, and thus insurance company has to pay out less....you'd think they'd be appreciative...but nooooooo. they slap you with an at-fault accident :|

moral of story...dont try to miss the deer. if you're gonna not gonna be able to stop in time, punch the gas and hit em hard
 
This what I did I welded a meat masher on the front of My F-250 that I had and it was a VERY effective deer deterrent. It also was hand for kinocking over trees too😛

"Deer coverage" goes under Comp, which is only a few bucks more than Liability. (At least in my state) Why would you not have it?

that's just the way it has to be.
 
Deer Coverage? All you need is comprehensive unless you've got some wacko off the wall insurance company.

OH, and all comprehensive claims are not chargeable by the insurance company. Claims like theft, vandalism, fire, etc. Basically any loss that is not collision is comprehensive.

p.s., if you hit an animal it's comprehensive. If you hit a human it's collision.
 
When you live in the middle of nowhere and the woods are basically right against the road, it doesn't matter how cautious you are; eventually there's a deer that just launches full blast out of the "no sight" zone, right into your car. I even had one run full speed right into the side of my blazer once, while I was going about 20 mph.
Comprehensive coverage is about $55 a month more for me and the deductible is $200. I think insurance is high for deer coverage here because there are just sooo many car/deer accidents.

Heh, yeah, but of the ones I've hit and killed, the deer is so demolished there isn't much undestroyed meat left to eat...
Did manage to cut up one and save almost all of the meat, though.
