White Soldier Stabbed in Apparent Hate Crime

Tevin Geike, a 20-year-old U.S. soldier, left, was celebrating the end of his military service when he was stabbed to death on a street in Lakewood, Wash. early Oct. 5, 2013 in what is being investigated as a possible hate crime, reports CBS affiliate KIRO. Geike was walking along the street with two other soldiers, Matthew Barnes and Brian Johnson, at around 2:30 a.m. when Johnson says a car passed by and taunted them. "One of the guys in the back seat yells something like white and cracker," Johnson said, reports the station. Barnes allegedly yelled back, "So this is how we treat combat veterans now?" The car reportedly came back and five black men stepped out and demanded to know what Barnes had said. Barnes repeated himself, reports the station. Four of the five men then backed off, but the fifth allegedly attacked Geike and stabbed him. He died as a result of his injuries. Authorities said they were searching for the five men involved in the incident. They are described as being in their mid 20s.

We just had a second incident here in Syracuse of blacks beating to death some random white guy. The first time they blamed it on the knock out game. Second time, nope, just a random beating. The suspect was even caught on surveillance celebrating afterwards. If it were a black beaten to death randomly by a white guy Al Sharpton and company would be all over it.

Yeah I thought it was only excused if they had tried to rob the victim before murdering him. (P.C."logic" from an earlier racial crime thread).

Anyone who may be thinking there's any inconsistency here is missing that its actually perfectly consistent: hate crime ONLY means white againt black, not the opposite. People expecting any convergence from that are the ones expecting a sudden inconsistency to emerge.

Police reported on Sunday that the victim, 20-year-old Tevin Geike, had been walking with two fellow soldiers on Saturday in a Tacoma suburb when a car drove by and, according to witness statements, its occupants yelled "something about being white."

How could that bit of news possibly be confused with anything to do with a race crime?
