Hi all,

I recently had to replace a bad inverter on my LCD monitor. I've replaced it and everything works fine, my only question is: what is the white stuff that was covering some of the solder points? and should I worry about replacing it?

Likely additional insulating material (e.g. hot-melt glue) used to provide extra protection for the high-voltage terminals.
