When I turn on the TV it's completely white. I've had it for a little more than a year so it's our of warranty. I hate this set, one problem after another. Any suggestions on how to fix this particular problem?

Edit: I fixed it by shaking the screen a bit. This doesn't look good...

I noticed nobody responded to your problem here. Sounds like a loose connection outside or inside the TV. First, rule out a cable connection issue. Check all cables and even swap out cables if in doubt.

If that don't work, it sounds like one of the connections inside the set might be loose, or possibly a wire in one of the connectors is not properly seated and making contact. It will require taking it apart to check the connections. The components are all modular and connections are easily checked. Also look for any bulging or burst capacitors on the power supply board. If they need to be replaced, you need to do forum searches on AVS forums for more detailed instructions on how to fix it.

This post also has more info on the power supply board bulging capacitor issues.

Good luck!

Did you happen to buy it with a cc that automatically extends the warranty?
