White or Black Iphone 4?

I'm having this debate with a few friends of mine about the Iphone 4. I plan on getting one when they come out. I was thinking about the white one. But most of my friends say a white Iphone is for women. Any truth to that 🙂

Yes...and gay guys....I have two gay friends that will confirm this.
 
Maybe I'm a gay guy in denial, but I have a white 3GS and will be getting a white 4. I don't buy into the white is for girls and gays, rather I think white is for the fan-boys, either mild (like me) or major, or if you like the white one better (also like me). I know plenty of straight guys with white iPhones, and at least three gay guys with black ones.

My gf is going to get a white one when it comes out. So I guess that's the consensus. It doesn't really matter which colour you get anyway since chances are you're going to put a protective skin over it.
 
Everyone I know buys the black one. Back when only the iPhone 3G 16GB would come in white, I got white. Also, Apple has been associated with white for a while. White iBooks and Macbooks anyone? I bought white to be "Apple fanboy elitist" just because I wanted to be that way. At the store at 6:30 AM.

Since then, I've always just bought the white one. I always liked it and it's different. And I can tell you I'm not gay. It's just a nice phone in white.

But I'm thinking about the black iPhone 4 just because the face plate is now white too.
 
I know a few guys with iphones..all of them are black except 1. I could go with either one but if i get the 4 ill probably get a black one.
 
I got white for the 3G because everyone was buying black. I plan to fix that mistake with a black iPhone 4.
 
Yeah I'll probably get black. Although their is a part of me that says that white looks better. It will hide the fingerprints and scratches much better...
 
If I get it, I'll get the black. It just looks nicer to me. I also preferred the black Macbook the little time it was available.
 
i would get black but thats just me. its my favorite color, looks sophisticated and its classy imo. white *usually* is bought by women - i definitely see more females having white iphones than males, but that isnt to say that males cant get white. dont get me wrong though, i always have thought that white iphones look fantastic, but i personally would only get black.

totally asked a bunch of my friends this same question too. all of my guy friends said black, and a bunch of my gal friends said white. however, there were a few girls (tomboyish in nature, not overly "girly" if you will) who definitely said black and that "white looks too girly". hell, even my mom said black, but shes the toughest lady i know. 🙂

I will be pissed if black is the only available color. I'm going with a white one. And for the record, I'm a heterosexual man.
 
Well I heard a rumor that while the black ones run faster, the white ones get better service.
 
This is clearly a thread in need of a poll but since you failed to include the poll I am unable to answer. 😉

Here is a question, would the black iPhone get hotter if left in an area where sun light would hit it? In theory, I think it would. Probably doesn't matter but I am just saying...

Initially I thought I would get a black one but now I have decided to wait until I can see a white one in person so I guess I will be waiting awhile.

I am leaning toward the white one, I think with the white front it will look hotter than the white 3GS. And slugg, very very funny.
