white noise

i have to do some studying and there is just to much noise and i was wondering if there any good sites to lison to some white noise

Computer generated white noise is not random enough. It will distract you as your mind finds patterns within it.

I can't imagine anybody posting streams of random white noise -- and if you loop a short run of random noise then it's not random and your mind will hear the looking. In the meantime, just make your own.

Tune a radio to a frequency with no station, or do the same with a TV.

Maybe a 10 min loop of real crickets would work.

Put the TV on with the volume down low on one of the God channels or something else completely banal and boring so it will not distract you into watching. I used to simply watch TV and study because silence or even white noise drives me crazy.

I would play some music, but don't loop it. If you need true "white noise", tune a radio to a station with nothing broadcasting, or disconnect your antenna/cable from the TV and turn it on. This only works, though, if your TV is old or lousy, and doesn't mute the sound when it's not getting a signal.

i ened up putting in earplugs and some music. i couldnt use the tv becuase my roommate was watching forest gump. with his ugly girl.
