It's well known that asians emphasize skill over brawn. Asian women also follow this principle. Why else do you think that all the asian girls who date white people prefer nerdy, lanky ones, instead of the jocks?

I have noticed too that asian men have overall less complexes about their self image than western men do. the study is correct in the sense that white men have been burned out by the advent of feminism.

That what I'm trying to tell these guys - women don't know what they want. The last thing you wanna do is ask a woman advice about women.

what do you mean they dont' know what they want? This study took women randomly from a selected population and asked them in anonymity what kind of body type they preferred.

I'm saying that women say they want one thing, when they really want something else, even if they dont realise it.

The main styles you use are wrestling, boxing, muay thai and brazilian jiujitsu, HARDLY oriental styles. If anything MMA PROVED that oriental styles did not work in real fights.

but anyways asians dominate MMA and you can go to any legitimate ranking page and you will see them flooded in the top 10.

And about ali... if you knew anything about that fighti n madison square garden... and if you have read any ali bios... you would know that inoki damaged ali's legs permanentely in that match.

Again, a light, efficient body has an advantage over a much slower, brawnier body...especially in free-style fighting. Unless of course you're going to talk strictly about professional boxing in the US.

Inoki damaged Ali's legs permanently by throwing a few swift kicks his way, huh? I guess that's why his last fight occurred 5 years later, in 1981. This was purely a staged exhibition match, nothing more, nothing less.

nikamichi, i'm surprised you haven't heard of kazushi sakuraba, the greatest fighter of all time. Go to any fight website around the world and you will hear his name. He is called the gracie killer because he beat the supposedly best fighting family for the past 50 years.

any corner of the world, mention kazushi sakuraba and they will say he beat the legendary Royce Gracie in a 96 min. MMA match.

the point i'm trying to make is that... fighting sports are undisputably the most masculine sports in the world. 1 on 1, when you lose you can only blame yourself, not the team or the coach. Also, it is the oldest sporting event that dates back to greek pankration. so teh argument that asian men are not good at sports or competitive is a moot point.

Yes, he's trying to tell us that white men don't know what women REALLY want for a perfect male companion while asians DO(intellect > muscle bulk)

That doesn't sound right. I don't think it has much to do with intellect, as most women would rather go for a guy with a fat wallet than a bulked up hulk or a pigeon chested asian man.

Fixed.

again you show your ignorance. A staged match? They would never make a staged match that boring. It was 15 rounds of inoki on the ground afraid to engage and kicking ali's legs. 15 rounds of the same thing. This was because ali's side did not want free fight rules and limited it to standing only. inoki knew that he had no chance boxing so he resorted to butt scooting the entire match. Ali's legs were heavily damaged because he suffered 15 rounds of continuous full blown leg kicks.

Well, I do agree that men overestimate the importance of looks, but then again, women don't really know what they want either. I'm sure you've all heard the "nice, sensitive guy" story, and then the next thing you know the b!tch is hooking up with some ape from the bar. But, that's a whole other topic for you.

Hmmmm...based on the women I've known over the years, I don't think it would be *possible* to overestimate the importance of looks. I think you've got a whole lot more guys walking around trying to convince themselves that women are "less visual" while the women in question are busily checking out other guys' butts (and other body parts).

But, you're right--an amazing number of women will state that they "don't like guys with muscles." I hear it all the time. However, try going out wearing a pair of tight jeans and a shiny, form-fitting shirt and see how they treat you when it's in the flesh instead of on paper. I gotta tell ya, it's more fun than taking a survey. 😉

this isn't a regular survey. This is a harvard STUDY. you really want to dispute that w/ your armchair attacks?

Again, no one is disputing the study. I have every confidence that the most of the women chosen to participate actually did say that didn't want a muscular man. I accept that. I don't doubt it for a moment. In that sense the study is absolutely accurate.

But those same women, when faced with an actual, not just on paper choice, will choose the muscle-bound man over the skinnier man time and time again more often than not, all other attributes being equal.

The study, while accurate, has no relevance to reality because by and large women don't know what they want. They'll say one thing while doing another. And the next day they'll say something else. The mind of a woman is like a black hole, a region where the laws of physics and logic itself dissolve into chaos. They'll say they want vanilla and be pissed because they didn't get chocolate. They'll exact revenge on you for doing what they said they wanted. They are evil! Don't look into their eyes or they'll steal your soul.

Many men are afraid or ashamed of their body size (i.e. small/skinny/etc) but are incredibly intelligent, and thus they will play that up. Others may not place as much emphasis on academic achievement but are frequent weight-lifters, and so they will emphasize physical bulk as an attractive trait.

As a person who has achieved some considerable amount of academic success, and who has been (and is currently working back up to being) very muscular/fit, I can tell you that women are attracted to both attributes. Taken together, or taken apart with a reasonable degree of balance, you shouldn't have trouble finding some women.

No woman (or no man, for that matter) will be physically attracted to a grossly overweight person, no matter their intellectual ability. Unfortunately, the converse doesn't hold. I've seen WAY too many hot idiots in relationships with people who were too good for them.

again you are misunderstanding. The study did not find that women prefer weak intellectual men. It just said that white men were less secure about their body image. In all studies, they found that women preferred lean muscular men.

no. what the study is trying to say is that women prefer a david beckham to an arnold scharznegger. the study finds that white men dont' realize that and continue to overemphasize muscles.

I don't know if you realize exactly how idiotic you sound by saying that.

Now that being said, I think many people, of both genders, will say one thing to assauge their conscience - after all, no one wants to appear shallow and specify that they place a high premium on physical appearance - but when faced with a particular situation they will choose the guy with muscles or the girl with a skinny waist and proportionally attractive breasts than the skinny diminutive guy or the chubby girl. That's not to say that everyone will *marry* said person. No one wants to spend the rest of their lives with an idiot, and by the time you're 65 your looks have gone to sh!t anyway.

I've gotten to know a huge number of asian people (I live in Seattle and I go to the UW, go figure!) in the last four years and I've seen a number of asian guys who, while not bulky, are in good shape and toned, and they have little difficulty finding girlfriends.

Here's my take on all of this - be healthy, eat healthy, and study and work hard. If you're decently intelligent and you exercise regularly, it'll pay off. If you're just butt-ugly - well, look at Steve Buscemi. Learn to act or something.

no that is not what i'm saying. agility is important, but the lighter fighter will always be disadvantaged against a heavier fighter. This is the reason why I mentioned weight classes. strength can overcome a lot of technique. It is rare to see a smaller fighter of equal skill defeat a larger man.

You dont have to tell me, I go through the same experience myself. And then, I go about teasing them half-jokingly, just to keep up the fun. But if you were as rich and famous as Donald Trump for example, women could care less how you looked, they'd still want to bang you. On the other hand, I dont care how rich women are, I'm primarily interested in their looks(and personality if they pass the looks test)

Now, granted, not all women want muscular guys, but if a woman has a choice between 2 guys, same personality, only one is muscular and the other is either skinny or fat, which one you think she would pick?

Women dont place as much value on looks as men, and other factors matter more than looks to them, but I'd still rather be muscular than not.

no. asians value education more than whites. In america, east asians are 2% of the population, 40% of the top 20 universities.

Asian IQs, SATs are always 1 std. deviation higher than whites.

48% of asian americanas have a degree compared to 20% of whites.

While politically incorrect and sure to draw emotional outcries, this information is factually accurate. Asians do have a higher IQ on average than whites.

Another fact is that the Ashkenazi (Jewish) people have the highest average IQ of all, which far exceeds Asians, non-Jewish white, etc.

When you get into the most difficult areas of science and mathematics where normal people cannot even comprehend the principles, Jewish people absolutely dominate it. Look at the atomic bomb program- Einstein, Oppenheimer, Teller, etc. The greatest chess players, lawyers, etc.

This is all percentages, mind you, and you'll get freaks of all races who are super smart. But on average you will see trends.

You're telling ne that you honestly believe that the average woman would take Leonardo DiCaprio over Arnold (Not the wrinkled shell of a man he has become, but the Norse god he used to be)? You really believe that? If that's what you're trying tell me then I guess we're going to have to agree to disagree, because I don't buy it. If Buddha came down off his lotus and told me that I wouldn't buy it because I've seen otherwise.

no. asians value education more than whites.

If we put so much pressure on all our stupid people that they committed suicide like in Asia we'd have a higher average IQ too, because then all the stupid people would be dead.
