Last thread I did was where I thought the people were in the wrong and the cop was in the right. This time it's the opposite. Cops were the dumbasses here. The over reacted to the situation without first determining the truth of the situation. While no one was hurt, it was an experience that shouldn't have been handled the way it was.

I would love someone to do this to me and my daughter. I would simply smile awhile I'm on my knees and my hands are up in the air. I would obtain badges numbers and other information. I would be sure to contact the same attorney that was used for the black business man who recieved a receipt that said "N---- DON'T PAY" while at a resturant, and recieved an "out-of-court" settlement.

I would legally pursue this until I hit the bottom.
 
Hmm...convenient that he is "A crime and politics blogger"? Would it maybe have been a "friend" who called in the "kidnapping"? Seriously, who would call the police reporting a kidnapping because a guy is walking down the street with a kid?

I smell bullshit and a setup if it's true he was even stopped...

Could be, but I find it entirely plausible someone would call in a kidnapping for that. Some people can't mind their own business, and it's coupled with being too stupid to breathe.
 
Now this one to me is little bit forgiveable. They only stopped him based on a report that a white man had kidnapped a black girl. Now they may have been idiots during the stop, but it would make sense they stopped him. Some confusion over him being stopped twice is little out there though.

It would take a whole new level of retard to call in a kidnapping just by seeing someone walking down the street with a kid, it just sounds way too convenient that it happened to a crime blogger as well...I really think he's just looking for some attention, which he's obviously gotten...if it is true then the police should be talking to the person who called that in, I can't even fathom how stupid a person would need to be to do that🙄
 
what if it was a kidnapping? how else would you want the cops to react to an alleged kidnapping? i don't think the cops that showed up did anything wrong. and they did pull out tasers instead of guns.
 
Thread title sucks. He wasn't cuffed because he was walking her. He should be happy the cops stopped them and questioned them. This is a perfect example of the cops doing their job. If they were a little rough on him then maybe they should say they are sorry. Other than that, this shouldn't even be a news story.
 
I don't see the cops doing anything wrong. They got a report of a kidnapping, they saw someone who fit the criteria and stopped them. They didn't beat his ass or tase him or anything. People need to stop being giant whiny ass pussies already.

With all the family disputes that goes on, my first thought is that there is probably high tensions between the childs parents. Perhaps a restraining order. Perhaps racial bias within the family. Perhaps one parent leveraging for better position in divorce court. Calling the cops is how the divorce game is played to score points in court. I think it is obvious that there is more going on in this case then what meets the eye.
 
He was detained and released once they figured out what was going on. Get over it.

i have to disagree that these police were retarded. when it comes to children safety, the cops must side on the error of caution with reports of alleged kidnapping. you can't risk letting a pedophile escape.

Once the guy threw his hands up in the air and it was obvious he wasn't resisting them, they needed to tone it down a notch. Cuffing him, tossing him in a police car, and being inconsiderate during the whole affair was being retarded.
