White man, black teen, gun and a security camera. Take a guess

A young back teen 14 years old became lost in a Detroit neighborhood. He knocked on the door of a 53 year old white man asking for directions. His wife answered the door and then the following happened...
Walker has said he woke up late Thursday, missed his school bus and became lost in the Christian Hills subdivision while trying to walk the bus route to Rochester High School.

When he knocked on the door to Zeigler's home, Walker said a woman inside began yelling "'why are you trying to break into my house?'" he told WJBK-TV. "I was trying to explain to her that I was trying to get directions to Rochester High and she kept yelling at me. Then the guy came downstairs and he grabbed the gun. I saw it and started to run. And that's when I heard the gunshot."

The couple claimed this black teen attempted to break into their house. There is a security camera on the property which shows the wife clearly lied on the teen.

Thank God for 2 things. First, he missed. Second, there is footage proving the young black teen's version of the encounter.

Question I have especially for 2A absolutists, if there were no footage who's story would you believe? I'm asking in the context of stories like this we have had over the years. One that comes to mind Jordan Davis.

Second question I have why is a guy like this allowed to own a gun? Why shouldn't as part of obtaining a license a behavioral/psychological screening be required. His distrust of back people and violent tendencies would have been revealed.
