White iPhone Coming in Weeks, iPhone 5 in Sept., iPhone 6 in Spring 2012

This is how much I give a shit about a white iPhone:

It's dumb that the iPhone 5 and 6 are coming out so close together. The September release will probably be just another speed bump, a la the 3GS. Thankfully my contract (finally!) ends in October. My 3G is getting really tired.

How do you know when the iPhone 6 is coming out?

I'm really questioning how many white iPhones Apple plans on selling. I'm sure most of the preorders have been canceled by now, right? Besides that, aren't most people likely to wait for iPhone 5?

It's confusing. I know there are people out there that still want to buy one and that's fine. I've been wrong about Apple before so we will see!

I have a 3G and I really want to switch back to Verizon.

I might just go ahead and get the iPhone 4 on Verizon since I have to wait a year for iPhone 6 anyway.

Any speculation on a Verizon Iphone 4 price drop when the white versions come out?

Am I missing something here? If the updates in the iPhone 5 are "minor", what's the point of even releasing it when the 6 is coming out a year later? Might as well just fix the issues on the 4 and save a version number.

iPhones get refreshed every year. It's always been like that.

Its just an option when you buy a phone now, and people will buy a brand new iPhone right up until the new one comes out.

I don't see what all the hate is about.

Well if it has the same SoC as the iPad, the update will be anything but minor.

Just because the form factor isn't going to change much doesn't mean that the internals wont change.

Look at the 3G and the 3GS.

The hardware updates in the 3GS was probably the most drastic update between revisions Apple has released but since the from factor didn't change most of the public sees it as a minor update.

The next one won't get a case redesign (except for the reception issues obv). Will be interesting to see if they enable 4g on it or wait for the big 2 networks to catch up first.
