With Trump, fascism has no bounds, totalitarianism is the highest form of Law and Order, pandemics on his watch are hoaxes set up by Pelosi and Schumer to make him look bad and junk food gut bombs are the new nutrition trend that is being recommended by the gov't agencies who regulate our food industries.

This paragraph shows the hypocritical nature of what they are doing. They comment and make a stand but when asked for further details slither back and fall on the “no comment on open investigations” schtick.

“The talking points also say: "Subsequent video has emerged reportedly showing that there were 'multiple gunmen' involved, which would lend more credence to the self-defense claims." In addition, the memo advises officials to say they can't comment on an active investigation if asked about Rittenhouse and add, "What I will say is that Rittenhouse, just like everyone else in America, is innocent until proven guilty and deserves a fair trial based on all the facts, not just the ones that support a certain narrative. This is why we try the accused in the court of law, not the star chamber of public opinion."

This is am amazing manipulation.

The DHS should NOT have a say in this. If it comes to trial, then a jury should. Only other question is whether Rittenhouse faces a Malicious Prosecution. But I cannot say that I am versed in the concepts of a prosecutor's limitations and abuses of power. What constitutes these things or not. All I can say is the charges should be met by a trial by jury, and how I would vote.

Additionally, he should face adult charges just as many other people of color who are that age and have done something similar.

This isn't about a future prosecution per se. It is about a President glorifying violence and criminality. That same President claims to condemn violence. Trump is really good at making a statement of condemnation not because he believes it but to have deniability later. While at the same time promoting the very thing he claims to condemn.

Isn't that already the case?

Yes, but he is currently held in a juvenile facility. In their defense of his extradition, it will be about this point, as they will leverage his youth as a point for why he should not be sent to Wisconsin to face adult charges in defending himself.
