I like how the guy who slings insults at Obama all day says that insulting people is a common tactic of the weak minded.

lol.

Insults? Looking at our Dear Leader with a critical eye is now considered an insult? I guess we're right back to the socialist leader 101 playbook...

This is some great insight into why you all are so upset when anyone merely brings up a topic for discussion which doesn't show him in a perfect light.

Basically you berate and sling personal insults to anyone who happens to have different viewpoints from yours.

It's ok though, that's a common tactic of the weak-minded. You are unable to have an actual debate, so you just drop into a thread with these petty insults which add nothing.

At least you make it blatantly obvious.

No. I sling insults at those that display cognitive dissonance or great levels of stupidity. In some cases both. Good thing that P&N is full of both. With you and a few select others at the head of the class.

In the same post where you use the same terminology to describe North Korean dictators to refer to the President of the US you express bafflement at how people would consider what you write to be insults.

You must be a parody account.

.......? I thought that was what he was going for.

Going on multi million dollar vacations while telling the poor people that he's sacrificing for his people, then coming back and setting up a huge private party in the white house paid for by the people.... I dunno how else you expect someone to look at it.

Love liberal hypocrisy, Do you feel the same about bush?

Did I say that insulting people is a tactic of the weak minded? Trust me, if I responded to your posts more often I would have called you an idiot many, many times. I'm actually a big fan of insulting people.

Gotta love conservative illiteracy.

I followed the rules.... 7 characters and a capital.... and the dam password thing won't take....

Goalposts moving get me..... laughing so that I can't even log on ... dam password thing....

I used bashfuldocdopeygrumpyhappysleepysneezyalbany and if that ain't 7 characters and a capital I don't know what is...
:D :D :D

Yes, let's recap:

1. Republicans hold the debt ceiling hostage over spending they authorized, to force across-the-board budget cuts.

2. We get across-the-board budget cuts.

3. The White House makes cuts, and the same Republicans who wanted cuts whine because they claim they don't like the cuts the WH made, even though the cuts are not to anything essential, and they would have whined regardless of what cuts were made.

4. A right-winger who's unable to read and comprehend English digs up a propaganda piece about an event that's part of a PBS concert series that's been going on for 35 years, and starts a thread mischaracterizing it as a "private party". Even stupider right-wingers spend post after post whining that the White House shouldn't be paying for something that they aren't paying for, while simultaneously illustrating that they don't know how PBS works.
Odd, that's the same defense that opponents use for gay marriage, it's how we've always done it. Although granted, in your example "always" has shrunk to 35 years.

I think one can safely say that the federal government is going to be out a serious chunk of change from this party and concert. I doubt it's comparable to what is spent on White House tours, as evidently millions go through each year. Perhaps Obama can have PBS broadcast the White House tours and everyone can be happy?

And if you had any evidence to back up this opinion, it might actually be worth something.

PS Every time you use the phrase "Dear Leader" to refer to Obama, God kills a kitten. Thought you'd want to know.
Wait - now you're accusing Obama of killing kittens? Not cool, dude.

What I find is funny is you would have the exact same outrage if they got rid of the PBS concert and kept the tours. Now I have no clue how much each of these things cost. But someone decided what to cut and what not to cut, not everyone is going to be happy with what is cut and what isn't.

Has anyone found the cost of these things?

Absolutely false...... The issue is not cancelling the tours. It's cancelling the tours while still putting on private invite-only concerts at the white house with pop/rap superstars purely in an effort to bolster our Dear Leader's personal and business relationships. Even worse, they throw up a couple of PBS cameras and funnel the costs directly down to the taxpayer.

I have no problem paying for white house tours.. They benefit the people.

I do have a problem paying for a private hip hop concert for our Dear Leader and his friends.

Which isn't happening, since, for the tenth time, this is a show put on by PBS for all Americans to watch, which is not funded by the White House budget.

Now you're saying what you said you didn't say yesterday.

I still want to see your evidence for this claim.

Considering the examples that are presented here, in this thread alone, I would say that it isn't a stereotype at all.

Your an idiot. Your the same moron who says it wrong to stereotype all Muslims based on a few (It is wrong) but its alright to do it to Conservatives/Libertarians?

Love the hypocrisy.

A PBS concert series that's been going on for 35 years, with over half of the productions under Republican administrations, and you cherry-pick one of these events and characterize it as "a private party put on by our Dear Leader for his personal benefit".

You're either too stupid to think, or brainwashed beyond the capacity. There's just nothing more to it.

Something being broadcast on PBS is not "private". It's a concert series. It's been going on for four years THIRTY-FIVE YEARS.

I'm sure it will cost the White House money to provide security exactly the same way it costs them to provide security for everything else.

You claimed that I "made a specific claim that the WH isn't paying for this party". I did no such thing. Perhaps you need to look up the meaning of the word "specific".

Oops, I was mistaken. This series hasn't been going on for four years, but for thirty-five years.

Guess which administration has had the most of these events? Saint Ronnie's -- by a wide margin.

You people are buffoons. Transparently partisan, incredibly dense buffoons.
Perhaps you can understand how one could come to that conclusion. LOL Bolding yours, BTW.

I honestly don't think this is an issue. Granted it's somewhat of a private party, but I think one could make an honest, non-partisan case that the PBS broadcast of the concert portion from the White House (as opposed to having the concert elsewhere, which would make it kind of pointless and hard to organize) is of greater value for more Americans at less cost than are White House tours. There is for instance little chance that I could or would attend a White House tour, whereas all I need to enjoy the concert would be PBS reception and a vastly higher tolerance of popular entertainment.

Which is not what happened here, so again, there's no problem.

I have no problem paying for white house tours.. They benefit the people.

As opposed to broadcasting a concert on PBS, which of course doesn't "benefit the people" -- never mind that something like 90% of US households with TVs watch PBS.

Look, I know you don't like insults, but really -- you keep using "Dear Leader" to refer to Obama, you keep lying about this program, you try to claim that White House tours "benefit the people" but public TV programming doesn't... do you expect to make "arguments" like this and have people conclude anything positive about you?

If this isn't some sort of parody, I really feel sorry for you.

Perhaps you can understand how one could come to that conclusion.

Not anyone capable of logical reasoning.

The point about the thirty-five years is not saying "we've been doing this for thirty-five years so we have to keep doing it forever". The point is to argue against the deliberate lie that this was some sort of spontaneous party that Obama dreamt up one day because he's a hedonist who likes blowing the White House budget on parties.

If someone wants to argue that we should get rid of this concert series, or even defund PBS entirely, that would be one thing. But all we have here are a bunch of droolers deliberately mischaracterizing this concert with endless quantities of bullshit.

I honestly don't care if people think positively about me or not.

I merely state the facts with no emotion or bias, which tends to send the heavily biased people into a psychotic frenzy.

Good for you. When your dealing with these obama defenders you cant allow their insults to get to you. This is part of their tactics where they attack the truth and anyone who goes after obama.

I think you aren't actually reading what people are saying. It isn't "this [is] some sort of spontaneous party that Obama dreamt up one day because he's a hedonist who likes blowing the White House budget on parties." It IS "it is unpardonable that he kept this party/concert while ending White House tours."

I don't agree for reasons I detailed, but I certainly have no trouble whatsoever understanding the argument or identifying it as legitimate if personally unpersuasive. Frankly I'm in favor of the sequester cuts, so I'll leave it to Obama and the department heads what exactly to cut and give them a great deal of latitude in making those difficult decisions.

Who claimed that it was any kind of "spontaneous party"? Link, please.

What WAS claimed is that he can pick and choose what events to cancel. And what he picked was WH tours for millions of future voters, while spending money for something with nothing more than entertainment value.

If someone wants to argue that we should get rid of this concert series, or even defund PBS entirely, that would be one thing. But all we have here are a bunch of droolers deliberately mischaracterizing this concert with endless quantities of bullshit.

Keep it, end it, NO ONE CARES. What we care about is this bullshit that we can't afford one, but we have to have the other.

Yup, I'm sure that was a real difficult decision....... Keep white house tours, or host luxury invite-only white house party with justin timberlake and other pop/rap superstars.

I bet he thought that one over for awhile.
