White House and Computer Science

I'm currently at Georgia Tech working on a Computer Science degree.

I am REALLY interested in government and politics - I have a lot of interest in working in politics. What kind of positions are available to an upper-middle class person such as myself that involve computers and politics?

I think I'll keep going with my CS degree, but I don't know where that will get me. You don't see too many Engineers in the White House.

I edited the original message because I meant to say politics, not government. I thought that was clear, but it wasn't.

I should hope the same kind of positions that are available to a lower-low class person that involve computers and politics.

Try the NSA.

Wait. So you're ECE and PoliSci? Where do you go to school?

I'm at the U of M but I'm only a PoliSci major, not EECS. But I'm taking an EECS class, and I hate it.

technogeeky, talk to Dr. Endicott in the INTA department. I'm sure he'd be able to offer some advice. His classes are good too (and easy A's).

Is Dr. Endicott receptive to e-mail?

Thanks for the tip, by the way.
