The real issue here is Taylor SUCKS, this video SUCKS and this song SUCKS. I couldn't watch the entire thing. Does Taylor ends up twerkin? If she does she should be put in prison without a trial of any sorts.

JESUS this song is bad I hope I never heard it while standing in line at a store or something.

No its actually common sense.

If you have to resort to calling "twerking" racism then obviously there isn't any real racism going on. Or you would spend your time talking about that real racism.

Or I guess people who point out racism could just be a bunch of morons.

Take your pick.

As long as somebody, somewhere has committed a bigger sin, then a little sin is no sin at all, and pointing out the little sin makes somebody a moron.

:hmm:

Except in this case there isn't even a little sin. You have some trying to make up new sins.

If the world is so full of sin why the need to invent new ones?

Borrowing from other cultures isn't racism.

What we have here is people trying to make themselves look important by crying about fake racism.

You better put yourself out of your misery now because the song is the FIRST off her brand new album. She'll be playing it at the VMAs this weekend, which will probably make all the news sites and TV. Then she'll play at other places intensely up until the album releases in a few months. New singles, tour, etc. for two years until she releases her next album.

I don't own a TV and I don't listen to the radio, the only possible way I'd ever hear one of her song is when I'm in a store somewhere and they're playing it. And that's not super likely as I live in the ghetto and the stores around here don't tend to play Taylor Swift.

Then how the fuck do you know this song, or her music?

Really? I'd like to hear that explanation...
Again.. I don't think dance moves should be taken too seriously.
Maybe I should have said: If offense was going to be taken from seeing white girls twerk.. It should have been from Miley's tasteless usage, that came earlier.

Only reason I've heard this song was because I came in this thread and ended up clicking on the link to see what the fuss was about. I don't know her music, if you held a gun to my head I couldn't name one of her songs or quote a single line from her if it would save my life.

You've got it pretty good when your best pick/choice of a racism battle is Taylor Swift semi-twerking.

I thought Miley invented twerking... Didn't even know it was a thing associated with a specific race.

And the song and video aren't about Taylor dancing. It's about her not fitting in anywhere, poking fun at her own dancing skills (people have been making fun of her dancing at award shows in the crowd), and everyone doing whatever the hell they want that makes them happy.

First of all TS has not much to "twerk" anyway LOL and who gives a shit, are those heavy-metal young black kids considered or called "racist" because they play a genre of music that white people usually listen to?, Not by anyone with an ounce of common sense.

Its pretty simple logic. If the woods are full of wolves I don't need to stick some furs on a rock and point to it and call it a wolf.

But when some idiot does point to a rock and call it a wolf, we can all feel safe to freely roam the woods because the first idiot proved there aren't really any wolves there?

Some specifically calling her out on the part where she crawls beneath twerkers' legs..
"looking like a bewildered Alice in Wonderland. Going through the world’s worst rabbit hole."
LOL

It made me think of the through-the-legs scene of The Big Lebowski :D

I'd never even heard of the term twerk until recently, and really don't ever if I ever had.

I thought those were just called lap dances once upon a time :)

How come it's socially acceptable for black people to be racist to white people but not the other way around?

Oh it definitely is simple logic that defeats you and your posts in this thread.

I'll reiterate:
You really need to learn logic and why your posts in this thread do not contain it.

Also, people, please stop using analogies when its clear you don't know how to use them either. That is not even remotely an analogous situation and just underscores why your logic is bad.

Then not owning a TV or listening to the radio doesn't matter as far as being exposed to her music then, does it? That was more or less his point, doesn't matter if you intentionally go out of your way not to hear it, its f'ing everywhere.

I believe it's more analogous to the boy who cried wolf one too many times... or how one needs to pick and choose his/her battles and examples wisely. Lame is lame.
