White dots between textures.

I have a 9800 pro, and very occasionally i will notice tiny white dots in between textures while playing CS:S. it doesn't occur between all textures and it doesn't occur all the time, though it will consistently appear between the same textures(in the same parts of the map).

I doubt it's heat, since i don't run it overclocked, i have an artic silencer with AS ceramique, and 4 case fans. I thought it may have been a power issue, but i got a fortron 400w and i still have the issue.

it's not that big of deal since it is so infrequent, just wondered if there is something i could do to try to eliminate it.

small as in one pixel? they probably appear more often at the edges of archways etc? it's just an engine error rounding off geometry, or something like that. nothing wrong with your card.

yeah just one pixel each. but usually 3-4 of them spaced out in the line between textures. i haven't seen any in 3dmark even after 1hr loop. engine error sounds good to me, especially if it means my hardware is ok. thanks.

download atitool and have it find the max clock speeds for core/ram. I've found many 9800Pros not up to spec on the memory or core not being able to run full speed. Usually its the memory, try clocking it down 10-20MHz

Sounds like pixel popping which could be the fault of the drivers and/or the game.

I doubt it's a hardware/heat issue.

white dots between texture permiters is most likely normal. i doubt it is artifacts because those occur indescriminately and he would have described it differently.
