If you really think about it, the white collar crimes are most damaging to society and the world as a whole. Why aren't these criminals prosecuted and handed their appropriate sentences?
Take someone robbing a bank for instance, they may or may not use a weapon, and in the process someone may die (in the extreme cases) and the perpetrators would be given the book. That warrants long prison terms and in the extreme cases, death sentences. White collar crimes, or fraud affect more people as a whole, as we've recently seen and the collateral damages are far worse.
Isn't it time someone revise the laws so these crooks get what's coming to them? And I'm not talking about an accidental sky trip deaths, or hunting accidents either, but proper court trials and hard sentences. Non of this "Congressional hearing" or "Federal probes" bullshits, just take the ones responsible and put them all on trial.
