White 24" Imac Problem

Ok so I am using a regular wired pc keyboard and mouse and both are working fine. My issue is that I can hold down the right alt key at bootup and be able to select the hard drive or dvd drive to boot from. I can also hold down the mouse button and eject the disc. In between the white boot up screen and the Windows 7 setup language the keyboard and mouse no longer accept commands. Specifically at the screen where it says press any key to boot from dvd. Even when i unplug and plug them back in it only causes it to pause at that point and not continue.

My question is if I was to use an apple keyboard instead of the pc one would that fix the issue. I need to be able to press a key to get back into the setup screen from the dvd is my goal.

Thank you for any help.

I cannot make any guarantees. I had similar problems with the Win 7 beta on my hack using Apple Keyboard. The keyboard worked in BIOS and in Windows no problem, but wouldn't work to let me skip CheckDisk.

Maybe try a different keyboard first before you considering dropping the coin on an Apple one.

Do they work better with wired keyboards then the wireless? I ask because I tried a wireless and got the same result.
