i was playing around on my systems this weekend and i knotices that i can't run any openGL games, i.e. Alice or Quake3.
they load fine up until it set the screen mode, then it does that 3 times and exits out leaving me an OpenGL error message... :(

i'm running a TNT2Ultra w/ 2K det3 6.47 and Geforce2 GTS w/ 2K det3 7.17...

only suggestions my friends can think of was to maybe try the 9x drivers since whistler is a mesh of 2K and 9x kernels (mostly 2k though) i haven't done that yet cause i tend not to reboot until something needs a reboot after installation...........

if anyone has any suggestions then, please let me know...BTW i tried running GLSetup, but it's 9x only... even using the new compatability mode thingy didn't help.. i was missing some file that it tried to extract. :(

on a differnt note.. does anyone have Norton Systemworks 2001 running on whistler? i get errors saying that my files are invalid

lastly.. i had some wierd problem with one of my computers 2410 wouldn't detect the KB.. so i went back to 2278 and now it wont install my zip drive.. i ran iomega's install prog, but whistler still wont recognize it.. i tried a manual install but i didn't see any drivers listed for it

thats all for now, i'd appreciate any help

You may try sending a bug report to Microsoft. I think they are much more qualified to help you. Oh unless you pirated that program...

it's an beta so it doesn't matter if it was pirated really
even if i had a problem with something from them worth the couple hundred dollars they charge.. i still wouldn't bother e-mailing them
the odds of them actually helping is virtually nil.

dont bother with the bug report, thats just to put peoples mind at ease...

Whistler is based on NT. NOT on win9x.

You should use 6.47 geforce drivers, and the agp fixes for your motherboard.

I run the latest builds for Whistler everyday, and I can run everything that runs on win2k just fine, including games.

Support for games is going to come at the end of the last few things that they will do. I wouldnt hold your breath.
