Thanks for reading..

I updgraded my copy of whistler as title says..and after the setup was complete i booted into my Admin acct. I changed a few things (icon arrows, folder views, etc) and then went to Xteq and 'registered' the OS(i dont think thats my problem but its background info). Then, when i restarted the machine, it hung..before it got to the 'saving your settings'..and after 5 minutes i pulled plug.

Now when i boot, just as the taskbar is showing up, i get the following error:

"RUNDLL32.EXE-0A0B4850.pf corrupted or invalid" yadayada..and then it goes to system memory dump blue screen and reboots.

I need to know how\if i can replace those corrupt files, or how to disable that auto reboot so i can do some repair work. The only other account i have on that setup gets the same error msgs during startup, but doesnt dump to blue screen nor reboot..and since i dont have admin powers, i cant change anything meaningful as that user.

I'd rather not format if i could help it..i have my quadruple boot system just the way i like it :p

if your quadbooting then you have several partitions... just reinstall whistler over your old partition... i had a funky error where it wouldn't detect my KB so i couldn't type in the password to login, and after reinstalling w/out a reformat it worked great

Thats what i did to begin with, although it was one build over another. I'll try it, though.
