I'll toss it up the ladder and see if anyone catches it. But I suspect the fix would be worse than leaving it as-is, because it would break all the old posts already using it.

In vBulletin, you can create new emoticons very easily. Just tie :whistle: to the same image that :whiste: is attached to. Then it will work for future posts as well as keep the previous ones in tact.
