So your asking about sour mash whiskey or what? Because there is much better whiskey than those listed...they just happen to be other types of whiskey.

I like a nice glass of single malt scotch...Glenmorangie 12 year sherry wood finish is my current favorite (29.99 for a 750mL @ trader joe's last time I checked).

yes, there are definatly better whiskey's out there... but for the average joe, on a weekly basis he's got the basics covered there.

personally i usually switch it up between jack and jim. when i'm feeling saucy i'll get myself a bottle of single barrel jack

Ok, american blended whiskey, I used to buy Jim Beam by the case in college. 1.75L x 6 was only $49.99 at costco and could get a lot of people toasted for cheap.

I normally just buy JD and Crown Royal (Canadian whiskey), because that's all i know... but know that you guys mention some others, i'm going to try those. I don't mind paying more for some finer stuff, i just don't have a refined enough taste to differentiate yet.

Anyways, what do you guys like drinking your whiskey with? Cigars are always good, but at home, i can't smoke (i don't have any good cigars atm anyways), so that's a no go. What i do like is ice cream! Believe it or not, it's a GREAT combo. The smoky taste and warmth of the whiskey goes great with the sweet and cold of the ice cream. Anytime i drink whiskey now, i have a craving for ice cream.

I used to absolutely HATE whiskey, bit then for the hollidays my wife wanted to try a bottle 25yr Glenfiddich. Since I was in the spirit, we bought it. $79 later I found I really like Scotch but have unfortunately expensive tastes. Talk about smooooth.
