While I must have spent several HOURS collectively on the phone with Comcast Cable since my current (TV) service began in early January, there has been a distinct payoff.
Initially, I got six months of digital cable plus HBO for $29.95/mo. What with a protracted series of eff-ups and this and that and blah blah blah and my silver tongued skillz I have ended up paying only one month's bill at that price NOW through the 7th of this month. That's NINE months of this deal for approx. $30 total!
PLUS . . . Starting the 7th of this month I will be on another six monthe promo of the same service (digital plus HBO) for $50.XX a month, with no interruption in service along the way.
I LOVE this country! :laugh:
PS I use Veriizon FIOS for the internet -- first six months @ $34.95. This has the additional benefit of giving me fiberoptics for my land line as long as I keep a minimal Verizon phone account, which is a near necessity for me since the copper lines had persistant intermittant and undiagnosed ("senior" level techs out several times) noise.
