While trying to updating Bios on K7S5A I got this error...Please help!!

Hi,

I tried to update the bios on my K7S5A board rev 2.0

I used the 011016L.rom

It starts to update bios then I get this error:
DOS/4G ERROR (2001): exception 06H (Invaled Opcode) at 1A0:0016EA39...etc etc etc

Any idea how to remedy? I have already searched the net and also searched here at Anandtech forums to no avail..except for a problem someone had with a 66hz computer runing Win 95...said it was caused by error with java applet. I didnt think this was related.

Any help would be appreciated.

How are you updating?

Bootable floppy?

Have you tried downloading the update again to see if it is a corrupted file?

clear CMOS and try again

save it on Hard drive. Its fast and easy.
boot up in Dos and run the prog. aminf329 011016L.rom
Possible your program AMINF329.exe is bad.
