With energy source coming at no cost, the desert sand could be turned into glass pipes, the sea distilled into fresh water and water brought to the desert. The sun should shine for a long time to come.

The only thing they need to import is air conditioners!

And the big issue with them is the energy bill. In a s socialist state taxes could produce enough energy to offset the energy needs of the average person.

The Righteous are of all People and are not of any particular religion, ethnicity, political philosophy, race, or any other such category. When History comes with a challenge, the Righteous are revealed by doing what is Right, the Unrighteous by doing what is Not Right.

History has been knocking at the door, the lines are being drawn that separate the Righteous from the Unrighteous.

Are you telling us to move to the desert or we could clear those pesky trees out of our way so we can enjoy solar?

There's like over half a million square km of desert in the US you fucking imbecile, cover those and then you can worry about the trees.

I'm sure it's nothing to transmit that energy to where it is needed.

The last trips I've taken to/from Kansas, I've almost laughed out loud about how much renewable energy systems I see along the way, and it increases every single time. Wind turbines all over the fucking place, solar arrays growing in the southwest. Hoover Dam still generatin'.

Every American should send Turmp a lump of coal for Xmas this year. With a note tied to it "heard you like coal, here have mine, I don't need it anymore, thanks to you keeping the turbines spinning from being such a blowhard!" And others could put something about him being a farty pants since that'd be language he'd understand.

Any day now some rocket scientist will invent something called an “energy grid” that is useful for distributing energy from one region to another over something called “transmission lines”.

UAE figured out how, I'm sure you'll do fine.

Actually from what I've read transmission costs are fairly high, especially in what is now an antiquated system that we have in the USA. That's a major impediment to decentralizing our energy production.

In the UAE they could set up this sort of solar farm just a couple miles away from the city.

I know, but eventually you're gonna have to modernize your energy grid regardless. And I know for a fact that you could do what's been done in the OP for a number of cities in the U.S. that are situated in similar locations, Las Vegas for instance.
