While Installing Win 2k - I get Drive Damaged !!!!!!!!

Hi,

I bought a new 45 GB hard drive. I partitioned it into 2. one for 30GB and another for 15GB. I tried to install win2k on the 15GB partition using Fat32. The setup formatted and then ran through the process. After rebooting I get an error something about PageSys File corrupted. So i try to install win2K again and try to Delete the partition and create again and Format the Harddrive. I get an error saying

Disk Damaged and could not be formatted !!!!!!!!!. I dont seem to be able to do anything more with the disk !!!!. What could be the reason??/ Any help will be great
