Whichi s better - tennmax lasagna or thermaltake blueorb?

I'd say the Blue Orb for performance, but the lasagna wouldn't block the PCI slot next to the video card so that's something to think about.

Yeah... it'd actually be for my KT133A chipset on my Epox 8kta3. The blueorb sure looks way neater, but I notice that the push pin holes on the orb don't match up the push pin holes on the chipset cooler, so the orb would requier a small modification. Nothing major but the lasagne would probably fit right off the bat... hmm... something to think about i suppose.

Well from the Picture on Epox's website it looks like either of them would fit, but why? It's questionable/debatable whether or not you really even need active cooling on that chipset (probably don't), but your board apparently already has an active solution. I seriously doubt you're gonna see any increase in stability (and definately nothing in performance) by swapping the hs/fan. If you just wanna do it cuz it's cool though (which I'll admit I've done things for the same reason before ), then continue on your quest.

I got the lasagna and it is much better then stock but since BORB blocks the next slot, I didn't switch.. i'm in the middle of converting the 4 pin lasagna into the 3 pin so I can plug into the mobo instead of the regular power..

I read a review on both of them not to long ago but forget where anyway the lasagna cooler performed a little bit better not much but a little

I read a how to on modding the blorb to fit on your chipset. Use a dremel and turn the push pin holes into slots. O -> C Then you use small washers to ensure that the cooler doesn't slip when you use the push pins to attach it to your mobo.

IMO, the lasagna looks a lot neater than those orb things. The lasagna is better suited for a motherboard chipset anyway. I have one on my GF2 MX card, and I've used one of their older models on my TNT2.

Homewrecker, it's at tennmax, and if you were joking, then good one, if not, then H*LL NO!!! a lasagna ain't gonna cool a 1.2 T-bird (unless you never turn the machine on ). It's for cooling graphics chips or mobo chipsets. Put it on a t-bird and it's gonna fry.

i think the radeons dont OC as well as other cards, and that even with the stock fan, the radeon still runs really cool... i forgot where i read it but they said that the cooling fan was just just for looks
