I want to update my chipset driver, but the latest driver on Intel's website for Z97 is 10.1.1.42, but the MSI website says 10.1.1.45. Which one should I choose?

In general, you should go with the drivers provided by the board mfg.

What OS are you using? If you're using Windows 10, it will install the drivers for Z97 chipsets without out you having to do that.

If you're not having any issues, I would personally just let Windows handle it.

I just installed the .45 version and it is indeed a newer driver from Intel.

Why Intel doesn't list it, I don't know.

Maybe they had an issue with it and pulled it from their site? I doubt they would have made a newer custom version for the Z97 chipset just for MSI. From what I've seen, Intel always has the newest driver versions available. Just a guess, as it's not something I've seen before from them.
