Which XP 2400+ L3 bridges are open and closed?

I got my XP 2400+ the other night and I was looking at some pictures of other XP's but none of the open and closed birdges resemble my chip's bridges.

My L3 bridges are:
12345
cccoo

The pictures I've seen have L3's bridges like this:
12345
ococo

c - closed
o - open

So how do I mod this chip to get those multipliers? One would think that I should still close the 5th birdge, but I am kind of concerned.

So, those who have this chip, what did your bridges look like and which ones did you close? BTW, I have a week 42 chip for those who want to compare.

All Tbred 2400s are like yours, 15X133.

That's the Multiplier Code for the 2200 13.5X133. Go to
http://www.beachlink.com/candjac/index.htm link to "Multiplier Code" article and maybe "Tbred"...others...get to know AMD's Multiplier Code (and the various ways they use "bridge pairs" and individual bridges on different Athlon cpu models).

Don't think you want to mod the Multiplier bridges...might want to close the 5th L3 ONLY if you have an older mobo that can't cope with the 8X Bit Value Signal Bus being HI...see "workarounds" section in Tbred article which explains this mobo/bios issue.

Does anyone know if the Epox 8K5A2+ has the ability to change the multiplier on its own without filling in the 5th L3 bridge?

do you want higher multiplier or lower?

i believe all the higher ones are already available but to enable lower ones there is a bridge to fill
i cant remember atm which one it is, but it shouldnt be that hard to come across on the www

my xp+2200 came without the laser cuts on the L1 bridges, so i just penciled them in, could of been it was already unlocked on my asus a7v8x, but i got it running at 9x205, cas2 on the xms3500 1 512 stick at 410 ddr.

You can go up on the multipliers but not below 15 without closing the last L3 connection. To get a 16 multiplier set it to 8 in the bios but that won't work if you close the last L3 connection, just 12.5 and down will work then.

OK, I think I understand now. I was under the impression that in order to change the multiplier at all you would need to close that last bridge. So as I understand it, in order for me to get a FSB over > 166 like lots of other people have done I will need to close the last L3 bridge to get those multiplies < 12.5. Is that the recommended course of action if I am going to be overclocking this chip? (or use the wire/pin method)
