Which x800 GTO: Connect3D or Sapphire Fireblade or HIS?

Why do you need the pre-overclocked HIS X800GTO if you're just going to overclock yourself? Does it have a better cooler or something?

when do you plan to prchase it because if you wait till christmas I can tell you how good it actually is when I put mine in.

Also yes just get it anyways.

I plan to get it in a couple of days.

I've pretty much narrowed it down to three cards-

The HIS x800GTO IceQ- $195

or

The FIREBLADE x800GTO- $178

or

The x800GTO2- $229

No. Do not get any of them. Here is a HIS X800GTO OC for $195. It has better stock speeds than any of them.

Just noticed this is listed as the R480 core as well. But for $229, or about $35 more, wouldn't it be a good idea to go with the 100% unlockable GTO2?

Yes, so I believe that is the same core as X800 GTO2. If I ma correct, you will have success unclocking it.

If you want a silent card get the HIS. If you want performance get the GTO2. If you want inexpensive overclocking get the fireblade. I'm a cheap ass so I'd get the fireblade.

lool. Yeah, that pretty much sums it up. I heard the Fireblade fan is really loud, so i'm not getting that.

Final Question- Is the x800GTO2 worth the 30 dollars over the HIS? x850XTPE speeds vs x850XTPE speeds without 16pipelines. 4pipelines worth 40dollars?

The zalman keeps the card very cool but even with it your case temps will go up a lot. Don't go that route unless you have good airflow in your case. If you do it should easily clock past 620/610.
