which x1900xtx?

Seems to me they are all functionally identical EXCEPT:

some manufacturers may include a slight overclock;
some manufacturers include a game or two (or something else)
some manufacturers have diff. warranties.

Essentially, every XTX has the same core chip(s) on it. so ultimately they are the same thing unless the manufacturer does something listed above. When shopping around, keep that in mind. I'd suggest going with a combination of price, warranty, and included items because aside from that, it's the same card no matter who you go with. As for the overclocks, you can do that yourself just as well... so looking for a factory OC card wouldn't be an issue for me.

I went with the ATI brand because I found one on ebay, new in box, for only $430 and the thing is just AWESOME....

I had the same decision to make a few days ago, I just went with whatever deal there was to be had and chose the HIS for 450 AR. Just arrived today, hopefully it'll get a decent overclock 🙂

If you can be patient, rebates and the prices seem to go up and down. I snagged my HIS X1900XTX for $430 AR a couple of weeks ago.

Just get whichever is cheapest. I've tried various cards from BBA, Sapphire, Connect3d, Powercolor, and I have no reason to prefer one brand over the others. They're all basically the same card. I personally got the Powercolor this time because it just happened to be the cheapest back then.

Aw, sorry man. A few days ago it was $499 with a $50 MIR I think the deal ended the 11th as I look back now

I just got one of these myself & the $50 rebate did expire on the 11th, then there was a $40 rebate for a bit & now it looks like the card is sold out...I also had a $50 store credit with Newegg so I'll end up paying $399 ... finished installing it at 4am so I havn't had time to run any benchmarks yet... can't wait to try it tonight! 😀

Sometimes Ebay will have some for cheap. I bought the ATI-brand XTX for only $425 plus $10 s/h last month. The guy had seven of them. All brand new, in box and sealed. It's hit and miss but keep checking and you might get lucky.

I believe each manufacturer sources their own memory, PCBs, caps, etc, so it is possible for one x1900xtx to be better than another. It seems the Sapphires hace been overclocking the best and the Powercolors the worst of the major brands.

I chose Sapphire because of the game bundle, was much better than the others (you can try 4 games for up to 1 hour each, then decide which 2 you want to keep)
