Hmm, I've already got a laptop and a 17" 1ghz iMac....

Do you have the option of getting one or the other for free, or is this totally hypothetical?

I could get either one for free...I already have a desktop that I love, but I wouldnt mind trying out a mac

If you already have a desktop, go for the laptop. If you're itching to try an alternative OS, slap Mandrake on there. Voila, instant MacOS (almost).

no details on that...I copied and pasted all the details right from the site.

nope, not yet

let me clear up some details. This is from a manufacturer. I sell their stuff, I get points. Both of these items require the same amount of points. Its either I get one of these or a big screen (which I already have)

Heh, not even close.

But anyway, I think that if I didn't already own a Mac, I'd get the iMac, unless I really had a need for a portable system... which most people, even those that think they do, don't need.

Thats what I was thinking, but most people have voted otherwise.

Have you thought about Ebay or putting an ad in the paper? If you don't really want either I'm sure you can get a decent amount of money for it.

well, I might not have much need for a portal system but I'm sure I have less need for a mac.
