Ducati Multistrada or the Ducati Diavel?

For me this is a no-brainer, I'm going with the Multistrada.

Back story: Ducati noticed cracking on the rear wheel of one of their test bikes which uses a similar wheel to the one on my bike. They checked their test mules and found one bike with 26,000 miles of hard use had 2 cracked spokes so they issued a recall for my bike. They are going to replace the rear wheel with a new stronger one (visually identical). My dealer will have more of these wheels in stock next week so I'm going to drop my bike off Tuesday or Wednesday and they'll give me one of their demo bikes for the day.

I CAN'T WAIT!!! I love the new Multistrada, liquid cooled, 150hp, 1200cc, good looks.

I think that might be my next bike in a couple years.

Here's a pic of the Diavel.

If it were me... diavel, no question.

In your situation... Ask to take the multistrada for an hour, then get the diavel.

The multistrada is fun, but very similar to your bike. The diavel is a totally different beast.

They've offered me a test ride on the Diavel a couple times already. I'm sure I could get a test ride on any of their demos but I'd like to spend a little more time on the Multistrada on the freeway and surface streets. One of the guys I ride with at work has an older Triumph 955 with 55,000 miles on it and he's been eying the multi for a while now so this might just push him over the edge. 😉

I voted for the Diavel simply because I'm curious how it rides. I've already tried out the Multistrada.

Diavel.

A friend of mine (who owns a monster) travelled to Cali for work last year. He rented a Diavel for a day and had an absolute whale of a time riding it around Cali back roads.

The Diavel does nothing for me. I feel the Multistrada allows for significantly more hooliganism. 😛

I'm not a bike person, but I voted Diavel purely on looks alone, it just has a powerful stance. The Multi reminds me of a dirt bike :\
