I would say stabbed. However I sure love it when I see on cops or something, when a gunshot is fired and someone thinks they got hit by the bullet, but then it comes to find out they didnt get shot. Or when the people aren't sure or not if they got shot. I don't know bout those guys, but I think I would feel it if a bullet entered me or not heh.

What type of bullet? Jacketted or hollowpoint?

What type of blade? Double edge? Serrated? Sharp? Dull? Rusty?

Shock can cause something to hit you without you ever knowing if it did or not.

How big's the blade? Does the attacker slip it in and twist? Or just a quick jab? What kind of bullet do you get shot with?

the hyrdostatic shock from a bullet will definitely cause much more internal damage throughout the torso, which will become incredibly painful as time goes on. however the knife will likely damage more of the upper layer of flesh, where more pain receptors are, and will probably hurt more earlier.... depdning on if it is a stab or a slash of course...

It depends where you get shot or stabbed. I would rather get shot or stabbed in my chest, than in other parts of my body for example

I said stabbed, but mainly it's the area. I suspect that they feel similarly painful in the same area, although to be fair, if you're shot vs. a good stabbing, it's possible that the overall flesh destroyed would be less from the bullet. That is, unless it's powerful or splits up in the body. Really I don't like the idea of either.
