Which would be faster?

Im building my new rig and of course im looking for the best performance per dollar.

my shopping cart has the following items:

Intel Pentium D 950 Presler Chip
Gigabyte GA-G1975X
2GB of PC4200

now as i add the video card, i would want the fastest one available which on newegg is the 7900 GTX with 512MB for 519.00, BUT newegg has the 7600 GTO with 256MB on sale for 179.00. I could essentially buy 2 for 358.00. Later on I could add-in the Ageia PhysX card for 175.00ish for a grand total of 533.00

so my question is, what would be the better performer graphically?

2x 7600 in SLI mode w/Ageia or 1x 7900 | Difference in price is 14.00.

No one knows, the benifit of the PPU isn't known yet.

I'd get the single card and be happy.

Those Ageia PhysX cards are really a gimmick at the moment. I would leave it a while until it establishes itself in the market, more games use it and any problems have been worked out (or a new version is released).
