i'm looking to get a new video card for my new system, but i cant decide which is better, the x1650xt or x1950gt.

Any help? :)

It's not even a contest. x1950gt is faster, no question about it.

As the others has said, The x1950gt is better than the x1650xt by a Very long shot.

I'm not even sure why the X1650 XT was mentioned here. If it's because of my bragging of my purchase of an X1650 XT, it's because I ordered a passively-cooled model.

The cost for a passively-cooled X1950 Pro in Canadian dollars is just way more expensive. I'm talking $280 CDN and that's without the tax and shipping. Meanwhile, a HIS X1650 XT iSilence from case-mod.com was only $130 US plus $15 shipping. Even if you exaggerate the exchange rate, you wouldn't pass $165 CDN. Add the tax and shipping for the more expensive card and you're almost paying twice the price. And for what? For something I'm going to replace in 8 months anyway? Forget it. I'd rather get an X1650 XT iSilence (with my passively cooled mobo and CPU...will be silent). :)
