Which wireless-G router? I can't decide...

I'm going to be hooking up a wireless router for a house next year (where 12 people will be living... it's actually a house converted into 3 apartments, but anyways...) and I have my router choice narrowed down to a Linksys WRT54G and a DLink DI-624.

What would be the best choice? I simply need a good enough range to cover the whole house (it's not that big) and reliability. I'm leaning towards the D-Link right now since it's only about $40 after rebates, but if it's gonna crap out on me I'll pay the extra $20 for the Linksys.

Also, will a G router be able to handle 12 simultaneous connections? There won't be a lot of heavy downloading going on (except for 1 or 2 users, maybe) and most of the usage will be casual web browsing. From what I've read, G should be plenty, but I just want to make sure.

idealy, paying more money will get you a better router

also look for the encryption hardware technology

recommend you to get something that has 108 mbps boost, that extra 54 makes a difference. air extremes are the way to go, but not unless you have the nic's to go with it

Well no one is going to be buying the Air-Extreme nics or anything like that. I just need a router that can handle 12 users with a decent range and one that won't screw up randomly. Advanced features are pretty much a moot point.

802.11g, great range (esp with 3rd party firmware) and should be plenty for basic internet connection sharing and even light file transfers among 12 people.
