which WINE emulation is better for SETI?

re-nicing. it's kind of like changing the priority of a program in windows, but it's on a scale of -20 to 20. but i don't know if it would would on a windows program that is running on an emulator.

would re-nicing change the priority of the program or of the emulator?

if you nice the emulator i would assume you're changing priority for the emulator which is, of course, running the program. as for the program... i can't imagine what else the emulator is doing. if you're using the box you should probably set the program to normal if possible, and nice wine to -3 or so, so it keeps it from interfering with up-front stuff.
 
hehehe... yeah, that's the setting that i'm using. but do you know if which emulator setting works best?
