Which Windows OS for Eee 1001P?

After weeks of research, getting ready to pull the trigger on Asus Eee PC 1001P and trying to decide whether to get upgrade to Full W7 or install XP SP3 over the W7 Starter that comes stock.

Any advice on which way to go? The upgrade to W7 Home Premium is $40 and XP I already have.

Thanks!

What limitations of Windows 7 Starter are you concerned about?

It's actually pretty decent, very reasonable for a low-powered netbook computer. I'm happy with it on my Dell Mini 1012.

I'll be honest, not really concerned about anything specifically, although I have read enough of negative reviews of Starter to think that a full-featured OS from the get-go might be way to go.

I'm mainly asking because I can get the Home Premium version for $40 v. $70 if I order bundle with the Asus. Figured if I can get the deal for it, than it might be worth just pulling the trigger on it and being done with it.

Here's a chart showing the differences between versions. Other than those differences the versions are exactly the same. Personally I didn't see anything worth upgrading for, and I could have bought another copy of Windows 7 Professional for $30 with an education discount (that's what I use on my desktop).

Netbooks are already very slow, so I didn't see a need for anything but the basic theme. The memory and hardware limitations are irrelevant on a netbook. The rest I guess is preference but I'm not really overly concerned about the ability to change my desktop background.

Great feedback. Thanks for the link to the chart, that really helps me understand the differences based on actual features rather than opinion. I think I'll bypass the upgrade at this point.
