Which one of the following do you guys think will BLOW UP fist....or get burned If I keep increasing FSB on a 100mhz bus using the Asus A7M266 motherboard???????

1 GHZ THunderbird 200mhz fsb
DESKSTAR 75GXP 45.0GB or 20GB HD 7200RPM
Vision Tek GeForce2 GTS 32MB DDR OEM
Sound Blaster LIVE VALUE OEM
CD ROM???? Does fsb even have any effect on this??

If you think one of them won't last????Which should I change it to?

 
The only thing there that would be affected is the 1ghz tbird... it would be runnign at 1.3 ghz - unlikely to be stable without lots of cooling (LOTS). You should underclock the tbird (lower the multiplier to 7.5, and then everything should run perfectly find (nothing will be out of spec)

Actually I was wondering because the current revision of the Asus A7M266 doesn't allow you to adjust the clock multiplier....only the fsb.
 
Didnt know that. I guess that would make it difficult! Until there is a way to adjust the multiplier (can you do it by just opening some L1 bridges in the right way? I think a mobo setting is not required). Otherwise, you're right it would be hard, and the tbird would probably not be happy
 
hey...where did you get your motherboard? ive only been able to preorder one and i wont get it for another two weeks or so 🙁
