Looking at getting a wifi for my xbox, but the Microsoft adapter seems a bit expensive, wondering if anyone is using any other brand.

Thanks

I tried a D-Link 802.11B, but I was only getting like 20k/sec. transfer, so I went back to a cable. :(

hardwire it yo, it's cheaper than buying a wireless craptacular adapter and there's really no reason for wireless on an xbox unless you like porting that monstrous device around your place.

I have the DLink .11B bridge on mine right now. Honestly, I've noticed no difference between it and when I was hardwired, although I've played very little Live in the past couple months.
You can run the little speed test in the dashboard, and I was getting somethign like 4000/1000 before(for example), but with wireless I get 1000/1000. So I guess my upload is maxed out anyways, which is the most important part of staying lag free.

I just can't wait till NFL 2K5 comes out, I'm gonna burn out that damn bridge playing online so much! :)

Sounds like someone who's already given up trying. There's always a way to run a cable... it just may require a little effort.
