You can get a geforce2 for around $160 now if you want to go that route. The Raedons are nice cards too, but are a little more expensive then the geforce2. The geforce2MX is a good budget card, and probably is the best price/performance right now. I wouldn't touch the Voodoo5 5500 unless you really, really love your old glide games. It's more expensive and is the worse performer in the bunch.

IMHO it comes down to two cards, the Raedons and the Geforce2. Geforce2 is a little cheaper/3D performance, while the Raedons produce much superior 2D quality. Get the geforceMX if you are looking for the best deal, but if you got a little bit more money to spend, go for a higher end card.
 
and the 5500 remains in the system to stay.
