Just asking, because it was on a final I just took, but I never knew... Tried to google it, it started talking about how Constantine gave 7 days 7 names based on the planets...

The ones on the final were saturday, sunday, and wednesday... Which one?.

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday are all of Nordic origin.

Edit: So yeah, Wednesday is the answer there.

Sunday is named after the sun presumably, and Saturday is obviously named after Saturn. Then again, Wednesday could have been named after Venus or something-- V is pronounced like W in Latin... hence wine/vine/vino, etc.

Djheater had it right, Wednesday is named after Odin (sometimes pronounced Woden). The Roman equivalent of Friday is named after Venus, dies Veneris.
