Which way should the fan be spinning in the summer?

In the summer, blowing down to blow directly on you and make you feel cooler.

During the winter, blowing up to circulate the air without blowing directly on you.

Either way it blows, it will equalize the temps in the upper and lower areas of the room. The ONLY difference is if it's blowing directly on you (down) or not (up).

it depends on how big your room is and how low your ceilings are. If you have low celings it doesnt matter. but if you have high ceilings in winter they should be blowing down so the heat that rises goes back down to the floor. in summer i dont think it really matters.
